Performance royalties are generated every time your
songs have done just that; been performed.
Royalties for live performances (gigs) make up over 70% of the
money Sentric regularly distributes to its songwriters and should
be seen as an incredibly important income stream to any
artist/writer.
As a songwriter you are entitled to a performance royalty for
the vast majority of gigs you do and depending on a number of
factors (including size, attendance, ticket price etc.), they can
be worth anything from £5 upwards.
Here are some example figures of what Sentric artists have
previously received for a single gig:
Small Venues - £5-£6
Barfly - £22
O2 Academies - £105
Shepherds Bush Empire - (as an example of a
mid-size venue) - £255
Leeds/Reading Festival - (as an example of a
festival) - £1,500
Sheffield Arena - (as an example of a large
venue) - £1,600
Support slot for Muse - (as an example of a
large performance) - £2,000
This money is generated for most of the gigs you play and it's
so easy to provide Sentric with the information they need to start
collecting these royalties for you; Only a few details are needed
including setlist, date and venue name.
