Advice for Emerging Artists & Musicians
Sentric Music Blog
Getting a job is tricky, eh? There’s no denying that and I’m not going to turn this blog into a meretricious left of centre jerkwater think piece on what government reform should be taking place in order for our generation not to be wholly bent over by a bunch of suits who thought the idea of quantitative easing would titivate the economy back to how it was in their glorious Etonian days…
Our blog series on useful organisations for independent artists continues, and for our fourth instalment we present you AIM. Check out what they had to say and why you should consider joining.
What's That Festival Worth... April 2016
Ah, festivals. Great aren’t they? I especially love the fact you have to pretend to enjoy camping to avoid upsetting your oldest friends, the constant minor threat of trench foot and above all, the nervous looking over your shoulder every ten minutes to make sure that a drunk teenager who has just failed to get onto a media studies degree at an ex-poltechnic due to the fact he somehow inexplicably got a ‘D’ on his General Studies A-Level has reached breaking point and is coming in your direction looking for a fight whilst tripping on dubiously overpriced legal highs.
There are many organisations out there that can make an independent artist’s life so much easier. We thought we’d make your life easier (as we always do!) and create a blog series on some organisations that every artist should consider. Stay informed and think about why you might want to join them.
